After graduating from medical school in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Eduardo Mejia completed a 5-year residency program in general surgery and plastic surgery at Prof. Ivo Pitanguy’s institute in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This training taught him complex surgical techniques and gave him the knowledge and experience to minimize and manage potential complications and achieve successful outcomes.
He has since attended several observership programs, courses, and medical conferences in the United States and South America to further his career as a surgeon.
Dr. Eduardo Mejia is a board certify member of the Dominican Society of Plastic Surgery (SODOCIPRE), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), FILACP, CMD, IPRAS, AEXPI, and the A4M American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measurement of an individual’s weight relative to height, and it is meant to be used as an indicator rather than a direct measure of a person’s total body fat.
According to WHO, an adult with a BMI between 25 and 29.9 is considered overweight; an adult with a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese; a BMI less than 18.5 is considered underweight; and a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered healthy.

If your I.M.C. is greater than 30, it is recommended that you start a diet and exercise routine until you reach a BMI score of 30 to enter an operating room.

Or abdominoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen.
FACE PROCEDURES
The most requested cosmetic procedures like Botox, cheek lift, chin surgery, dermabrasion, eyebrow lift, and Blepharoplasty are done to improve the appearance of the face.
GYNECOMASTIA
This type of surgery removes excess breast tissue and/or fat in the chest of a male caused by a disorder called Gynecomastia.
BREAST REDUCTION AND LIFTING
Or reduction mammaplasty, which eliminates fat, breast tissue, and skin from the breasts, and it also lessens sagging and raises the nipple position.
LIPOSUCTION
A suction technique eliminates fat from specific body areas, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms, or neck.
BUTTOCK AUGMENTATION
Or gluteal augmentation includes the surgical emplacement of a gluteal implant to improve the buttocks’ contour, size, and/or shape.
MOMMY MAKEOVER
Includes some form of breast surgery and a tummy tuck to restore the shape and appearance of a woman’s body after childbearing
